A walk through Reggiolo

Reggiolo’s town centre is rich in historical buildings that have recently regained their original splendour after the 2012 earthquake.

The Medieval Rocca, with its mighty walls, is the structure that stands out the most, visible even from afar; close to it rises the Sartoretti Palace, home to the municipal art gallery and a beautiful park.

Crossing Piazza Matteotti northward, visitors will reach the 17th-century Giovanni Rinaldi Theatre, while just opposite stands Villa Manfredini, a historic residence privately managed and featuring an in-house restaurant.

Two more fine buildings near the town centre are the Federico Fellini Auditorium and Villa Fassati, which today houses the headquarters of the Fondazione Officina Belle Arti, organizing courses and hosting art exhibitions. Along your visit, you will easily encounter open-air artworks, all donated to the municipality by artist Mario Pavesi
