Casa dei Pontieri
In the location which accommodated the old bridge made up of barges - connecting Boretto to Viadana - until its destruction in 1967, the son of the last “capopontiere” (head bridge builder) collected the most significant images of the bridge’s history and rebuilt a portion of the same bridge.
The museum offers a rich visual documentation of the transformations that occurred to the ways of crossing the river. Objects, tools and photographs on show tell the story of the life and habits before the construction of the concrete bridge.
