Acetaia San Giacomo
The Acetaia San Giacomo is a vinegar house deeply rooted in its territory. Its barrels and daily work are housed within the walls of Corte Faragosa, a farmhouse in the Bassa Reggiana countryside built in the mid-16th century.
This evocative setting invites visitors into the world of Aceto Balsamico Tradizionale (Traditional Balsamic Vinegar), immersing them through stories told by the staff, through the natural aromas and flavours of this remarkable local product, and through the characteristic landscape of the Po Valley.
The Acetaia also serves as an educational centre for the University of Gastronomic Sciences of Pollenzo.
It is fully open to visitors with four different itineraries: alongside a standard tour with basic tasting, guests may choose additional experiences such as aperitifs, guided tastings of Parmigiano Reggiano and local wines, or a visit to the Caseificio Sociale Castellazzo, the dairy located in Castellazzo.
