Spazio Goccia: the Shapes of Water

The project “Spazio Goccia: le forme dell’acqua” (Droplet Space: the shapes of water), promoted by the Gruppo Iren in collaboration with the Municipality of Luzzara, the “Un Paese” Foundation, and ASBR Azienda Servizi Bassa Reggiana, was inaugurated in 2019 within the perimeter of Luzzara’s Iren aqueduct.

Spazio Goccia is a space open to schools and citizens alike, organizing workshops and cultural activities focused on sustainability and the responsible use of water - a precious resource that deserves understanding and respect.

From weather phenomena to pipelines, from tiny droplets to ocean waves, chasing sounds and colours, tracing new maps of possibilities - here, experiential and experimental activities invite visitors of all ages to rediscover, through thought, observation and action, nature and the many opportunities linked to the element of water.

Since 2021, Spazio Goccia has also housed the Osservatorio del Paesaggio Bassa Reggiana (Bassa Reggiana Landscape Observatory), fostered by the Emilia-Romagna Region to encourage appreciation of the land, environmental awareness, and a shared, mindful culture of the landscape’s value.
