Al Belvedere "Pietro Ghizzardi" House-Museum
The Casa Museo Al Belvedere “Pietro Ghizzardi” is a house museum located in the residence where the artist spent the last ten years of his life. It still preserves the original atmosphere in which painter and writer Pietro Ghizzardi lived from the mid-1970s until his death in 1986. The institution, bearing its name, was founded in 1992 on the initiative of his niece, Nives Pecchini Ghizzardi, and has since remained open to the public year-round. Admission is free, and the museum is run by volunteers.
The institution is dedicated to promoting, preserving and enhancing Pietro Ghizzardi’s artistic legacy. It also safeguards a remarkable collection of materials documenting both the public and private aspects of his life, including videos and photographic archives, all freely accessible upon request. Additional resources include biographical records, press reviews, and the complete set of the artist’s catalogues.
