Museum of Rural Life

The Museo della Civiltà Contadina (Museum of Rural Life) is part of a broader project devoted to preserving and reviving collective memory, promoted by the municipal administration. Thanks to the passion and expertise of several volunteers from the Associazione “Brugneto C’è” (“Brugneto C’è” Association), and to the generosity of numerous donors, the Museum rapidly flourished within the Centro Civico “Braccianti di Brugneto” (“Brugneto Farmhands” Civic Centre). The Museum houses a rich collection of tools and equipment used by local farmers over the centuries, offering a vivid testimony to the agricultural traditions of the area.

It is open to visitors on the third Sunday of each month, from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM, and from 10:00 PM to 12:00 AM on the occasion of Brugneto’s festivals and celebrations. During these events, visitors can also taste or take away traditional gnocco fritto and cold cuts produced on-site.

Free guided tours are available by appointment for groups of at least 15 people, and special openings for school groups can also be arranged.
